Javier's is a restaurant that you need to mentally prepare for prior to dining. Let me explain what I mean by that. You know that it's technically an "upscale" restaurant so you mentally set up a certain level of expectation but you've also tuned into people's comments saying that it's "overrated" or "overpriced" so then you lower your expectations of your expectation... does that make sense? With that being said - my husband and I thought it was bomb regardless of all the chatter surrounding the restaurant. He and a friend had a few margaritas and I had a guava mocktail. My husband and I both ordered the same dish: carne tampiqueña (usually we don't because we want to try different things and share but the dish we both picked sounded too good not to order on our own) and we were both delighted by how yummy everything was. Also the chopped salad was one of the best salads I've ordered at a restaurant. Excited to add this restaurant to our must go to in the future. We overdid our Carbone trips in the past so we're so happy to swap Carbone out for Javier's as our "treat yoself" meal!

Javier's was so delicious, we send there 2 times while on vacation in Las Vegas. Excellent service. Great decor. We tried the mole, tacos and enchiladas. Then there are the drinks. Outstanding!

I finally know what the hype is about! 10/10 recommend. Everything we had was delicious from the chips and salsa to the margaritas to the guacamole, to the entrées and even the flan! You know a restaurant is good when the chips & salsa are good the ambiance is nice, lots of seating available including the bar area but highly recommend making a reservation prior as the wait could be long upon walk in as the restaurant is PACKED. We will definitely be back as this is now our new favorite restaurant.

We came here for margaritas and apps. It was great that we got seated very quickly and I don't think you need a reservation. Their chips and salsa are amazing. I thought our server was very good. We got the chopped salad with shrimp that was delicious and my friend raved about their unique refried beans. This restaurant is very dark - it was hard to see the menu. The decor was cool.

Incredible. Service, food, atmosphere, and cocktails!! We were in town at the Aria for one night and I knew I had to make reservations for us after my husband raved about the La Jolla, CA location. I was concerned at the volume of music in the place and asked for a quieter spot. The booths in the alcoves along the walls are perfect. The structure mutes the music to a tolerable range so we could talk. I had the seared flank steak, and a spicy margarita. I would skip it ask for something else in place of the fried potatoes. They were boring. Also ordered the guacamole to share as we were all starving. It's a trap though. I could barely eat my steak I was so full from the guacamole and chips. Everyone was very happy with their entrees. We will visit again next time we are in town if we cannot find another spot to agree on, for sure. Mexican is always choice.

My coworker has been bragging about this place for years if and when I go to Vegas is a must try. I finally made a reservation and tried it. Check in with front host and seated quickly. Our waitress was not as friendly as I hoped. Sort of like hurry and order attitude if you can't my drift. Restaurant is dark and can be a bit noisy. On the menu: Scallops Crab and shrimp enchiladas Rice and beans Cheese quesadilla Churros Scallops are a must if you love seafood! Small portion but it was perfect for me. Crab and shrimp with green sauce was really delicious. Wasn't super salty and went well with rice and beans. The rice and beans were really yummy. Fluffy rice and beans were refried. My kids got the steak quesadilla and they said it was really good. It came with a side of guacamole and sour cream. They ate the whole thing. For dessert we chosed the churros with ice cream. This was so good! Fresh doughy goodness. Nice and sweet with cold cream and caramel drizzled. Overall I definitely would come back to Javier's and try other items on the menu.

Gorgeous ambiance, I absolutely loved the rope detail on the ceiling above the bar. Service was great, drinks were strong and food was good. I've never been to an upscale Mexican restaurant and they did not disappoint. I would definitely come back.
